Description Indonesian Hub

The global academic partnership is very important for improving education. Thus, universities must expand partnerships with different universities in different regions of the world. The strong collaborative partnership both in teaching and research also supports the university in gaining international recognition. Languages as part of culture, with their complex implications for identity, communication, social integration, education, and development, are of strategic importance for people and the planet. There is growing awareness that languages play a vital role in development, not only in ensuring cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue, but also in attaining quality education for all, strengthening cooperation, building inclusive knowledge societies, and preserving cultural heritage. The university's internationalization efforts should include providing opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students from abroad and domestically to interact academically, linguistically, and culturally. Graduate and undergraduate students who want to speak more fluently in a second language might also obtain new perspectives on various cultures while working on their language skills. Indonesian Hub is an institution to accommodate a wide range of information provision, the activities of cooperation and collaboration in various domains, as well as other activities that contribute to both parties. These activities are expected to be beneficial to both countries, Indonesia and Uzbekistan. Indonesian Hub is a collaboration platform between Indonesia and others. It can be utilized to establish a better people-to-people relationship. Academic collaborations between students and lecturers can be persuaded to be more closed.

• Accommodating the deployment of guest lecturers from Indonesia to become consultants and lecturers of BIPA (Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers) and Indonesian culture in Uzbekistan at the cost of the Indonesian government and Universitas Gunadarma.
• Organizing various seminars, trainings, or workshops of BIPA learning to improve the quality of BIPA teachers in Uzbekistan. The activities may be conducted in Uzbekistan or Indonesia.
• Ensuring the shipping of books and instructional media for BIPA learning that are needed for both universities in Uzbekistan that provide Indonesian majors or courses in the Indonesia.
• Pursuing the funding for bachelor, master, and doctoral levels of education to Indonesian language teachers and candidate teachers in Uzbekistan with financial support from the Indonesia government, universities, or other institutions.
• Seeking financial supports for the development of the Indonesian language learning tools such as language laboratory equipments, construction of the classrooms, or other learning devices.

• Accommodating a wide range of research related to various domains in Indonesia conducted by members of the Uzbekistan community.
• Ensuring tutors or consultants for the research about Indonesia conducted by members of the Uzbekistan community.
• The topics of research are not limited only in the language field. Broader topics, such as the use of information, communication, and Communication and Technology in developing education or business is also being considered. Biodiversity and tourism development in Indonesia are also interesting research topics.
• Information and Communication Technology (ICT) cannot be separated from our daily life. In the tourism industry the ICT does not only play role as supporting role; it also enables new business models in the industry. Artificial Intelligence (AI) now has an impact on the tourism industry. Indonesia Hub can be used as a place to learn about ICT and AI especially how these technologies are utilized in emerging countries.

• Organizing seminars and trainings related to Indonesian art and culture for the society in Uzbekistan (students and general community).
• Organizing various Indonesian art and cultural performances involving members of the Uzbekistan community.

• Introducing the tourist destinations and activities in Indonesia research to explore the potential of Uzbekistan for tourists from Indonesia.
• Provide training for people in the tourist industry in Uzbekistan for better understanding of tourists from Indonesia.
• Introducing Indonesian gastronomy. Indonesian foods are influenced openly by foods from Arabic, India, China, and Japan. These influences enrich it and make it more diverse. The diversity in Indonesia has created a large variety of regional specialties, there are more than 5300 native Indonesian foods.
• Students and lecturers from our partners can also learn the material through the activities in the Indonesia Hub. They can enrich their knowledge about the food, ingredients, and spices in Indonesia. It improves the quality of tourism education.

• Providing various resources of information about Indonesia in a lot of sectors in audio or audio-visual forms.
• Providing a wide range of Indonesian journals for the Uzbekistan community.
• Providing recent and informative books about Indonesia.
• Providing a variety of brochures or magazines about Indonesia.
• Providing regular media briefings about Indonesia.
